Geometry #1

A quadrilateral MUST be a parallelogram if it has -

a. one pair of adjacent sides equal.
b. one pair of parallel sides.
c. a diagonal as an axis of symmetry.
d. two adjacent angles equal.
e. two pairs of parallel sides.

Write the letter of the answer that best finishes the sentence. Also, you MUST provide an explanation. Use what we have learned about properties of quadrilaterals. 2 points for posting, 2 points for explanation, and 1 point for correct answer for a total of 5 points.

B, because a parallelogram must have parallel sides otherwise it is not a parallelogram.

E. Because a quadrilateral and a parallelogram both have 4 sides and angles. A parallelogram has the opposite sides equal with 4 sides and angles and a quadrilateral has 4 sides and angles.

E. All parrelelograms must have 2 equal sides that are parrallel.if the it doesent have more that 2 sides it is not a parrallelogram.

E. a parrallelogram has ywo have two parallel sdes for it to be a Parallelogram. so you couldnt call a circle a parrallelogram but you could call a square one

THE SIDE HAVE TO BE THE SAME ETHER ALL THE SIDES ARE THE SAME OR ONE SIDE AND THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT ARE EQUAL AND THE OUTHER ENDS ARE EQUAL BUT NOT THE SAME AS THE OTHER TWO.OTHER WISE IT WOULDNT BE A PARALLELAGRAM OR A SQUARE.

It has to be E. It has to have 2 sets of paralel side to be a parallelogram because on set is parallel and the other side is too. It has to be E.

I would probaly have to say that would have to be the correct a answer because a parallelogram would not have the right shape if it did not have adjacent angles or sides the shape would not be able to stand.
