A news report about lottery winnings stated, "Saturday's $43 million Lotto Jackpot equals a trail of $1 bills that would stretch 4100 miles, from New York City to San Francisco and back to Glacier National Park in Montana."

A.) A $1 bill is about 6 inches long. How many $1 bills are needed to make a trail 1 mile long? Explain your strategy VERY CLEARLY using words AND numbers.

Orlando bought a plot of land measuring 1 square mile, on which he plans to grow blueberries. He hires 346 people to plant seedlings. It takes about 20 seconds to plant each seedling, and each seedling requires 1.5 square feet of area.

a. How many square feet of land can teh 346 workers plant each minute? Explain your strategy using words/numbers.
b. How much time will it take to plant the entire plot of land? Explain your reasoning and strategy using words and/or numbers.
c. Orlando decides to plant a different type of blueberry that requires only 1.2 square feet of land per seedling. How much time will it take the workers to plant these seedlings? Explain your strategy using words/numbers.
